Frequently Asked Questions

  • Guests are welcome to arrive at the Drumtochty Estate from 3pm on Friday ahead of welcome drinks and supper from 6pm.

  • Our ceremony will take place at St Palladius Church, located within the grounds of Drumtochty Estate.

  • No - accommodation, the church and all celebrations will take place within the estate grounds and are within walking distance throughout the weekend.

  • Yes - we warmly welcome all guests to stay onsite at Drumtochty Estate for the duration of the weekend.

    Rooms across the estate will be allocated following RSVPs and can be booked via the Your Stay page.

  • Yes - parking will be available onsite throughout the weekend.

  • For guests travelling from further afield or arriving ahead of the weekend, Stonehaven is the nearest town to the estate or Aberdeen is the nearest city, and both offer a range of accommodation options nearby.

  • Friday evening will be smart casual (think informal Christmas drinks, festive jumpers encouraged!), with Black Tie for the wedding on Saturday (black tuxedo, white shirt, bow tie for the gentlemen, and long formal dresses for the ladies).

  • December in Scotland can be cold, wet, and beautiful - we’d recommend warm layers and sensible footwear for outside of the celebrations for the weekend - there are plenty of lovely walks within the grounds!

  • Yes - all meals will be provided throughout the weekend, with breakfast hampers in rooms and shared kitchens available across the estate.

    Alcohol and soft drinks will be provided on Friday evening and during the day on Saturday, with a bar service available on Saturday evening.

    As there are no shops nearby, guests are very welcome to bring any favourite snacks, wine or drinks for their rooms.

  • Whilst we love your little ones this weekend will be an adults only occasion.

  • Having everyone with us to celebrate is more than enough, but for those who have asked, we’ll be sharing the option to contribute towards our honeymoon, as well as the opportunity to support Stroud District Food Bank. Further details can be found via the A Note page.
